Privacy Policy

Hail AI ("we," "us," or "the service") is operated by Proway Construction Group. We collect only the data needed to run the product and we don't sell or share it for advertising. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and how to ask us to delete it.

What we collect

Account info. When you sign up we collect your name, company name, email, and phone number. You provide these directly through our sign-up form. Email is used for login (magic-link) and service notifications; phone is used by Proway support only.
Customer-list data you upload. If you upload a CSV of your customer addresses, we store the addresses, names, and any optional notes you include. This data is scoped to your workspace — other Hail AI customers cannot see it.
Location data (with permission). If you enable hail alerts, your device's approximate location (city-level or coordinates you choose) is stored so we can notify you when a storm is near. You can revoke this any time in the app settings.
Usage telemetry. We log which pages and features you use (e.g., "viewed Damage Assessment at 2026-05-23 14:31") so we can debug and improve. Logs are retained for 30 days then deleted.
AI chat history. When you ask the in-app AI a question, we store the question text and the AI's answer so we can improve answer quality and surface common questions back to you faster. AI history is scoped to your workspace, never shared, and deleted when you delete your account.
Payment info. Stripe processes your payment. We store only a non-sensitive Stripe customer reference and your subscription status. Card numbers never touch our servers.

What we don't collect

We don't use third-party advertising trackers, no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no Mixpanel.
We don't read your contacts, photos, microphone, or files outside what you explicitly upload.
We don't sell your data to anyone, ever.

Why we collect it

To deliver the core product — radar maps, customer-aware push alerts, PDF reports, AI search.
To process payments via Stripe.
To send service emails (sign-in links, billing notices, storm alerts you opted into).
To debug crashes and improve performance.

Who we share it with

Only third parties strictly necessary to operate the service:

Stripe — payment processing. Their privacy policy.
Supabase — database and authentication. Their privacy policy.
Cloudflare R2 — file storage (customer lists, PDF reports). Their privacy policy.
Anthropic (Claude) — powers the "Ask AI" feature. When you use it, the data sent to Anthropic is your typed question and a short summary of the public storm data currently shown in the app; we do not send your uploaded customer list, contacts, or account profile. We ask for your permission in the app before sending anything to Anthropic the first time. Anthropic does not use these queries to train its models per our agreement and provides comparable data protection. Their privacy policy.
Resend — sends our service emails. Their privacy policy.
OpenStreetMap, Esri, Carto, NOAA SPC, RainViewer, Iowa State Mesonet — map tile providers. Your IP address is visible to them when their tiles load on the map.

Data retention

Account data: retained while your account is active.
Customer list uploads: retained while your account is active, deleted when you delete the list or your account.
Logs: 30 days.
Payment records: 7 years (legal/tax requirement).

How to delete your account

Email admin@prowayexteriors.com and we'll delete your account, customer list uploads, alert subscriptions, and stored data within 7 days. We retain Stripe payment records for the legal minimum (7 years) — those records contain transaction amounts and dates but no card numbers.

Children

Hail AI is a B2B tool for roofing contractors. It's not intended for anyone under 18 and we don't knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy, we'll email account holders and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after the update means you accept the new terms.
